HomeHarvest’s on-site consultations serve as the ideal starting point for your project. We invite you to share your vision with us, and together, we'll work toward bringing it to life.
Our expertise and personalized attention during these consultations require a nominal fee to ensure the highest level of service. Our consultation and design rate is $150/hr and usually take between 1.5-2 hours.

Because we are a dynamic team of gardeners, stone masons, carpenters, builders, herbalists, designers etc, we can recommend landscape transformations that are beautiful, functional, inviting, and with plantings that are seamlessly integrated into construction elements.

Site consultation
We encourage an open dialogue where you can ask questions, express your preferences, and share your vision for the landscape. We take into account your input while discussing design considerations, such as desired features, functional needs, and aesthetic preferences. Your consultation includes:
Full Site Analysis: We begin by analyzing your microclimate and sun exposure to understand the unique characteristics of your property.
Soil Testing: If necessary, we conduct soil tests to gather essential information such as pH levels, nutrient content, and any potential lead contamination. $20/soil test if needed
Drainage Patterns: This is performed to identify any potential issues that may affect plant growth or cause property/landscape damage.

Design Considerations
Plant Selection:
Based on the site analysis and design goals, we guide you in selecting appropriate plants that thrive in your specific environment. We consider factors like cold hardiness, maintenance requirements, native plants, pollinator friendliness, and the overall look and feel you desire for your landscape.
Construction Integration and Long-Term Planning:
We explore how construction elements can be seamlessly integrated into the landscape design, ensuring a cohesive and visually pleasing result. Additionally, we discuss long-term planning, thinking 5-10 steps ahead to ensure that each decision aligns with future developments and enhances the overall beauty and functionality of your landscape.

Proposal and construction
After your onsite evaluation and input session, we’ll develop a custom proposal and timeline to serve as your starting point for your project. Our team is committed to collaborating with you every step of the way, ensuring that your landscape reflects your unique desires and harmonizes beautifully with its environment.
We recommend you take notes during the consultation because the follow up proposal may only encompass the most immediate goals and not everything we discuss on site together.
